Spring Break Essentials

Hey y'all!  I know, I'm not southern, or even from Texas, but I think I'm allowed to say y'all lol.  I'm on Spring Break this week, so I'm feeling quite relaxed.  What's on the itinerary you ask?  Well, Monday and today have been full of lounging.  Tomorrow Mom is having surgery, so I'll be taking care of her.  Thursday I will finally be getting some sun, and hanging out with the girls, then this weekend I'll be heading to LA.  I can't believe how fast this year is flying by!

There are some key essentials one needs to enjoy Spring Break.  They are:

1.  A great hat (keep that sun off your gorgeous face)

2.  Fun tunes (preferably the new Justin Timberlake or Luke Bryan album)

3.  A natural-looking tan (nothing orangey)

4.  A great book (current read: Helter Skelter)

5.  Stacks of the newest magazines

6.  A huge glass of iced-tea (maybe with a hint of a little something to spice it up?)

What are your plans for Spring Break?

Relaxation and a Pina Colada

Well, it's been a tough week, that's for sure.  My spring break is so late this year (the end of April), then we come back and we're out for the summer on June 10.  Having summers off is one of the many reasons I love being a teacher, but it's not often I get to actually go somewhere.

I haven't been to Hawaii since 2008, and I'm dying for a trip.  It's my source of comfort and relaxation and I'm seriously thinking I need a trip.

I got side swiped yesterday, and am not looking forward to getting my car fixed.  I also decided to push my novel release date back to May 6, if you noticed the counter on my sidebar.  I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to get everything done, and wanted to enjoy the process.  I hope to make it great so some of you want to buy it!  Hope you all have a great weekend friends.  In the meantime, what's your favorite vacation spot where you can just RELAX?
