Wow, where has the week gone?  Time sure flies when you're on vacation.  If only my work weeks went this fast.  Hope you're having a great week and are ready for the weekend.  Today is Pink and Green Thursday and I'm linking up with the fabulous Trish of Pink Preppy Lilly Lover.  Make sure you head over and say hi to her!

I've been so busy this summer that I haven't had a chance to catch up on my Mad Men episodes.  Christina Hendricks is not only gorgeous, but plays one of my favorite characters, Joan on the series.  She's not your typical tiny actress and I love that.  Check out these gorgeous photos of her.

Christina Hendricks and Harper's Bazaar

It's no secret I love me some Mad Men, but I'm also in love with the actors/actresses who shine on the screen. Christina Hendricks who plays Joan is sassy, curvy, and just the right addition to the office politics. What I like about her is she reminds me of someone from Old Hollywood, curvy, and sassy, but seductive and sweet at the same time. She herself says that she is drawn to the style of Old Hollywood as seen on Marilyn Monroe or Ginger Rogers.

Best Looking Woman in America

Guess What? According to Esquire Magazine in their new "Women" issue (May 2010), Christina Hendricks of Mad Men is the best looking woman in America! Yes, she beat out trashy Megan Fox! So excited for her. Congrats Christina. Here are some fabulous pics of her from the magazine.

Mad Men Series: Christina Hendricks

As you know, I am completely hooked line and sinker on Mad Men. It is an amazing show and I haven't been this obsessed since I first began watching True Blood. Because of my new love, I am going to do a short series on the actors and locations included in the show.

The first one I'm going to focus on is Christina Hendricks. Christina plays Joan Holloway and is amazing. Not only is she gorgeous, but I can't wait to see what she has on each episode. Here is some information about her and some amazing photos of her. What do you think?

Hendricks was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho from third through eighth grade. In 1989, her family moved to Fairfax, Virginia, where Hendricks appeared in several high school plays and local community theater. She got her start acting in Junior Musical Playhouse productions, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

One of my favorite things about Christina Hendricks is she has an hourglass figure to die for. In a society where women feel the need to be sickly skinny, it's nice to see someone with curves.

Although she is known for her red hair, Hendricks is a natural blonde and has been dying her hair red since she was ten years old.
