Rear Window Revisited

Grace Coddington, creative director of Vogue Magazine gives us a fresh look at Hitchcock's famous film, Rear Window.  I'm loving Tobey Maguire and Carolyn Murphy in the photos.  The gorgeous clothes aren't so bad either.  And...if you've never seen the classic film, you have to rent it right away!

Thank you Peter Lindbergh for some of my favorite photos of the year.

Style Icons Mona Bismarck & Millicent Rogers

Good morning!  I'm heading to the Rockies game tonight and can't wait to share some photos with you all. I've been looking at magazine articles all morning to see what's new in the fashion world, and came across a gorgeous spread in Harper's Bazaar.

Karl Lagerfeld was so inspired by Mona Bismarck and Millicent Rogers, that he created a photo shoot based on them.  If you don't know who these amazing women are, read the article here.

Old Hollywood Meets Young Hollywood

Good morning!  I hope you're all having a great week.  We're finishing up the household stuff today and then heading out to explore tomorrow so I should have some great photos for you.  I've always been fascinated with old Hollywood and the vintage looks of the movie stars from years ago.  It's so nice to see some of young Hollywood incorporating these styles into their wardrobes in 2012.

"Savages" with Blake Lively comes out July 6, and the premiere was Monday in West Hollywood.  Look how stunning Blake looks.  Her dress is absolutely gorgeous and fits right in with the styles of old Hollywood.  I love the nude and black, her full red lips, and of course her retro curl.  Thoughts?

Mad Men Fashion Returns

Did you watch the season premiere of Mad Men Sunday?  The fabulous cast has returned for a 5th season and it looks like we're all in for some fun.  As usual, the fashion is forefront.  I love the vintage looks and am so thrilled that many designers are clearly inspired by the style of the show.  With the 5th season comes the 1960's and all their glory.  We see a lot of mini dresses, nude lips, and big hair.  Costume designer Janie Bryant has hit another home run...check out some of the looks from Sunday's episode.

Miranda Kerr--Fabulous Fifties

I just stumbled across this spread in Harper's Bazaar and was speechless.  I love it when I find a shoot that makes me actually say "wow" out loud, and these photos did just that.  Miranda Kerr looks stunning.  I'm so excited that many designers and photographers are doing a throwback or tribute to the fifties.  The styles are so classic and clean.  It's hard to believe there was a time where women actually dressed to the nines just to go to the grocery store.  Take a look at the photos and tell me which one is your favorite!
