Gucci Pre-Fall 2013 Part I

Happy Friday!  I wasn't sure I was going to be able to post today because I've been so sick.  Just within the past 2 hours I've been able to sit up and feel a bit better.  My head has been throbbing for 4 days straight.  It's been miserable.  I'm hoping to get out tomorrow and enjoy the beautiful weather we're having here in sunny Southern CA.

You probably noticed the title of today's post includes "part I."  I'm so inspired by this stunning Gucci collection that I couldn't fit it into one post, so I will continue with more tomorrow.  It's so refreshing to see designers incorporating classic or retro style into the upcoming collections.  I honestly feel it's a reflection of the appreciation for shows like Mad Men and their amazing costume designer, Janie Bryant.  There's just something about seeing a woman dressed from head to toe in fashion.  Gloves, a gorgeous handbag, and of course the perfect coat make the outfit.  No one would have dared to go out even to the grocery store without being all decked out.  The Gucci pre-fall 2013 collection reminds us what it's like to be a lady.  Take a look:

Fashion Forward--Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2013

So I finally got my new car today!  I'm so excited!  Not only do I get to save money, but I'm driving around in amazing vehicle.  God is good!  I hope you're ready for the weekend.  I know I am.  It's been soooo cold here in CA and it's only supposed to get colder this weekend.  

Moving right along...Louis Vuitton has the classic style that I have always loved.  They never appear old-fashioned, but rather cutting edge and chic, while at the same time maintaining their classy reputation.  The company has been around since 1854 and I can't see it going anywhere anytime soon.  Look at these gorgeous frocks from their pre-fall 2013 collection.  I have to admit the models remind me a bit of those creepy girls in "The Shining," just sayin.  Which look is your favorite?

Dior Resort Wear 2013

I've been a bit MIA since Friday and hate to miss posts...but I've been down with first a horrible migraine, and then a stomach bug of sorts, so I've had to take it a bit easy.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  I did a little river rafting.  It was a blast.  Check out the photo below.  Although we're on our way to Fall, the designers are still showing us what they have planned for 2013.  I can't wait to see the Christian Dior pieces in person.  Take a look at these vintage-inspired frocks!
