Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving all!  I hope you're having a blessed day relaxing with family and friends.  I'm in Denver and will be having Thanksgiving dinner with my brother and sister-in-law. So, what are you most thankful for today?

I'm thankful for my AMAZING parents, my brother (who I couldn't live without), my sweetheart sister-in-law, my health, my job (my students of course), a roof over my head (that I love), my friends of course, and my personal relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  How about you?  Have a great day all...and a little something to make you laugh:

Bearer of Bad News

Hey there friends!  So, we're three days away and I can't wait for my mama's famous homemade dressing.  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, but I always stress because I try not to overeat.  So, enjoy your pumpkin pie, your mashed potatoes, and everything else you desire, but don't forget to get back on track before Christmas comes around for that little black dress!  Don't hate me, I'm only trying to help you and me!

Tantalizing Table Ideas

Well Thanksgiving is on it's way.  Many of you will be cooking your own dinners I'm sure.  I'll be helping my mom with her fabulous dinner.  My favorite dish is her homemade dressing followed by deviled eggs.  I thought you might like some table decor inspiration, so here you go.  What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Thanks

Well, it's time for the annual what I'm thankful for post. I hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving filled with love, friends, family, and good food! Thank you so much for all your prayers for my dad and his health. He is home and doing much better.

First, I'm thankful for my amazing family. My dad is home from the hospital and we are going to spend the day together. My brother and sister-in-law are home from Ohio and it feels like old times again.

I'm thankful for my health. I thank God every day for the ability to be up and active. I can't imagine having to be immobile or sick, especially at this time of year.

I am so very thankful for my job. I feel so blessed every day to have a job I love, and to be able to be there to learn from and educate my teenagers. You just never know what they are going to say!

Lastly, I am so thankful for my personal relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ. He continues to bless me more every day and I look forward to all the changes that the future will bring!

God bless you and your family on this Thanksgiving. And, don't forget to enter my Christmas giveaway before Saturday when I make the drawing! Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello all, I'm a little behind on my blogging. My dad helped my brother and sister-in-law move back from Ohio, and overdid it. He ended up in the ER yesterday and after many tests, they think he has bulging discs in his back, and one possible herniated disc. He is in so much pain and is still in the hospital. They are hoping to send him home today. I am worried about him and my mom, she worries so much about everything. So, I'm a little busy! I had to do the Thanksgiving shopping for the first time on my own today and am feeling really responsible!

Please pray for him to heal and that he can come home for Thanksgiving. In the meantime, I am going to extend the Christmas Giveaway until Friday so things settle down. Please continue to enter and spread the word, and I will draw on Saturday. Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. I know what I'm thankful for--my family and my health. What about you?

Burlesque

There are so many great movies coming up, I can't wait! Of course my favorite is Harry Potter, but is anyone else excited like I am about Burlesque? I cannot wait to see Cher in all her fabulousness, with full makeup, costumes, and shimmer! The film comes out Thanksgiving day, so I think I will have to make a run for it after I have my turkey!

Here are some shots of the film. Are you as excited as I am? Have a great Monday friends!
