Nicole Does Noir For Jimmy Choo

Happy Monday! This morning I discovered some Hitchcock-esque shots of Nicole Kidman in British Vogue.  She's sporting a bobbed do and some retro glamour.  Nicole is the face of Jimmy Choo for his upcoming ad campaign for Autumn/Winter 2013/2014.  I think she looks stunning.  Your thoughts?

Ravishing Redhead at the Racetrack

Monday's over and Tuesday's on it's way...can you believe we're in the middle of October already?  Wow, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it!  What better way to celebrate fall than with a gorgeous redhead on the cover of this months Harper's Bazaar?  I'm not normally a huge Nicole Kidman fan, but I love this photo shoot and her hair looks absolutely stunning.  Thoughts?

Best Performances Of The Year...

After all the hype of awards season, W Magazine published an article reviewing all the performances they thought were the best of the year. I agree with some, not so much with others. What do you think? Who do you think deserves an Oscar this year?

First of course, was Natalie Portman for her role in "Black Swan." Am I the only one who won't see this film because of the lesbian love scene between Natalie and Mila Kunis?



Jesse Eisenberg did a fabulous job of portraying Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook fame in "The Social Network." I loved this movie and was really surprised it didn't come across as cheesy.



Justin Timberlake was good in "The Social Network," but I thought that Andrew Garfield really stole the spotlight. Who is this guy? He's too cute, in a dorky kind of way.



Dakota Fanning in "The Runaways." I didn't see this film and am dying to. I can't believe how much she has grown up!



Nicole Kidman in "Rabbit Hole." I've heard a lot of buzz surrounding this one, but haven't seen it yet. Let's talk about how gorgeous she looks in this photo?!



Mila Kunis in "Black Swan." I've loved her since "That 70's Show." Some say she is even better than Natalie in this film. What do you think?



Melissa Leo in "The Fighter." I thought she looked absolutely gorgeous at The Golden Globes and can't wait to see her in this film.

Film Series...Day 7

Today's film is "The Others" starring Nicole Kidman. I don't want to give anything away here, so if you haven't seen it, rush out and do so!

--The disease the children have is an actual disease known as xeroderma pigmentosum. It is very rare with roughly a thousand people in the world that have it.

--Being a Spanish co-production, this film went on after its release on September 7, 2001, to become Spain's biggest grossing domestic film of all time after less than two months of release.

--The ghostly image appearing over Grace's shoulder resolves itself into a somber face in a painting on the wall. This image is actually a detail (specifically, a close-up of the Puritan man's face) of the 1855 Pre-Raphaelite painting "The Wounded Cavalier" by William Shakespeare Burton. The face of the painting is that of Eduardo Noriega.

--Executive produced by Tom Cruise, this marked the last collaboration between him and Nicole Kidman prior to their divorce.

--Nicole Kidman originally tried to persuade Alejandro Amenábar and the Weinstein brothers to find another actress for the part. Coming off the bright and exuberant Moulin Rouge! (2001), the actress was initially reluctant to do a film that explored such dark places.
