It's in the 90's the past two days here in Southern CA, so we're ready for summer. The best accessory for summer? A great tan. What's your tanning routine? Take a look.
Oh my, I'm not very tan! Pretty pale actually. I do love the look of a nice sun kissed glow though. It keeps going between cold and warm here...I can't wait for it to get nice and toasty!
I've got to get started just sitting out on my little patio and soaking in some of the sun. (with sunscreen of course) I've loved tanning beds in the past but gave them up.
So now when I need some color I just go to the "bottled beach"! The best is L'Oreals sunless tanning. I use the gel, not the tinted! Make sure your skin is freshly bathed and exfoliated, you can use thin latex gloves if your hands pick up the color too much. But if you wash your hands after you do your legs, then after you do your arms, etc, your the palms of your hands won't turn color. Use a cotton makeup pad to do the backs of your hands. Easy does it and the "bottled beach" can be a great summer friend!
Have a wonderful summer and use that sunscreen girls... you'll be glad you did when it's time for your Social Security checks to start rolling in!!

My Inspiration
Behind the Inspiration
Many of you might not know I began this blog after being so inspired by Marilyn Monroe and all she was. I'm in love with old Hollywood and Marilyn embodies everything about it that I am inspired by. Who better to inspire me? Over the years, the blog has become less about Marilyn and more about me, my love of fashion, and appreciation for life, however I won't forget the inspiration that started it all, thus the name, "Blonde Episodes."
Blonde Bits By Marilyn
"Ever notice that 'what the hell' is always the right decision?"
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."
"If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything."
"The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space."
"We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets."
"I don't mind living in a man's world, as long as I can be a woman in it."
"We are all of us stars, and we deserve to twinkle."
"I want to grow old without facelifts. I want to have the courage to be loyal to the face I have made."
"Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."
"All a girl really wants is for one guy to prove to her that they are not all the same."
"A career is wonderful but you can't curl up with it on a cold night."
"If you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
