Today is Wordless (Semi) Wednesday and I'm linking up with the amazing Daphne of Flip Flops And Pearls, and you should too!  In honor of the paperback release of my first novel, Murder On The Boulevard, I've been posting all vintage images this week.  Today is no exception.  Look at these beauties. They're either true vintage, or current meant to look vintage.  What do you think?  Which is your favorite?

The Hollywood Tower

In honor of my paperback release of Murder On The Boulevard, I'm feeling very old Hollywood.  So today I'm dreaming of moving to The Hollywood Tower in Los Angeles.  Have you heard of it?  It's one of our famous landmarks, and has been around since the early 1900's.  "During Hollywood's Golden Age, this iconic French-Norman style castle drew A-list entertainers, artists, and industry execs to it's legendary lobby, fashionable apartments, and rooftop terraces."  No wonder I love it.

Aren't these photos gorgeous?  I can't even imagine living in such a historical icon.  I'm in love with the Hollywood Regency style and can't wait to redecorate my new place in it (when I ever actually move).  It's so regal and sophisticated, with a touch of old glamour.  

Can you imagine living in this place?  Even the gym is chic!  What do you think about the colors?

Murder On The Boulevard

Welcome back to Monday!  I have 11 more school days, so I'm a little giddy!  I'm also excited for another reason, though--my novel is now available in paperback!  Create Space is the site it's available on right now, and it will be up on the same page as my ebook on Amazon, in about a week.  Create Space is a really easy website to use and I would love it if you would go get a copy!  Thank you all for the amazing support with the ebook and I'm so excited you can finally get a copy of the paperback here!

Bull Riders, Blackjack, and Novel News!

Happy Sunday friends!  Hope you're having a great weekend.  I was a little MIA yesterday from blogging/twitter because I spent the day with my brother and sister-in-law at the PBR (Professional Bull Riders Association) event at Pala Casino in Temecula, CA.  It was so much fun and the weather was absolutely gorgeous!

After we watched the event, we headed over to the casino where I did not fare too well on blackjack.  I hate losing.  But at least I got a cute hat and got to look at some cowboys so all was good.  

(Seriously why were all 3 of these guys dressed exactly the same, boots, belts, shirts, jeans?)

We finished out the day by stopping at Chronic Tacos in Dana Point.  It was a little cold, but the food and atmosphere was great.  I feel so truly blessed to have such a great relationship with my brother and sister-in-law.  I'm so happy they moved back from Ohio and we can spend more time together.  Yesterday was a blast and I can't wait to share more of them.  What did you do?

Fashion Fridays Bangin' Betsey

Thanks for joining me for another Fashion Friday.  It's my favorite day of the week for many reasons, but the fashion is #1 of course!  I've been trying to focus on some fabulous designers I love and today is no exception.

Betsey Johnson is colorful, fun, creative, trendy, and of course successful.  Betsey was born in 1942 in Connecticut.  She graduated from Syracuse University and interned at Mademoiselle Magazine.  Her fashion career "started when she entered and won the Mademoiselle Guest Editor Contest...she became part of the youthquake fashion movement and Andy Warhol's underground scene."

She opened a boutique in 1969 and went on to design costumes for Edie Sedgwick.  In 1978 she began another line and opened another boutique.  Her career took off from there.
