Cleopatra--The Original Sexy Siren

For some reason the Egyptian/Grecian style seems to be surrounding me lately.  Our Homecoming was last week and the theme was "Going Greek."  Then, I happen to turn on the TV tonight and a documentary on Cleopatra (Cleopatra: Portrait of a Killer) is on.

So, what better to post on than Cleopatra herself and the style she was so known for?  If you don't know much about this famous femme fatale, you owe to yourself to learn about her.  Her life was a fascinating one for sure.

So, what do you think of the Egyptian/Grecian style?  It's a cute costume idea for Halloween right?  Even though it doesn't seem like it, I'm linking up for Wordless (Semi) Wednesday with my friend Daphne over at Flip Flops and Pearls.  Go check her out!

Classic Black and White

There's nothing I like better than a good black and white photo.  They show something that color doesn't in a person.  Here are some of my favorites.  Enjoy!

Fancy Pants

Another work week has come too quickly.  At least October is here, so hopefully all of you have some fun parties and events to go to.  With October comes coats, boots, and of course leather pants.  I've always wanted a pair, but never found the perfect fit.  I'm dying for a pair this year though.  What about you?  Have you ever or do you own leather pants?  Thoughts?  What's your favorite thing to wear with them?  Have a great day friends!

The Greatest Show on Earth

I hope you all had a fabulous Sunday and are settling in for some relaxation before the work week.  I'm reading Night Circus and it is so interesting.  It's all about a different kind of circus.  There are so many trends about the circus that I love, so I thought they'd be perfect to share this month.  What do you think?

Halloween Beauty

Wow, October 1st already?  I can't believe how fast this year is going by!  In honor of one of my favorite months and favorite holidays, I plan to squeeze as much Halloween inspiration into my posts as possible!  Some of you know I used to work at MAC.  Halloween was the time where artists tried to come up with an original, sometimes scary, sometimes pretty look.  I always went for pretty.  I found some fun ideas for you if you are in need of some Halloween makeup.  Check them out.  What do you think?  Will you be dressing up?  As what?
