The 1920's Have Returned

And just in time for my class reading The Great Gatsby.  The 1920's flapper style has returned.  The days of dropped waist, beaded lovelies are here again and it's no coincidence that Baz Luhrman's version of The Great Gatsby is coming out this summer!

My students are studying Gatsby and we're having a party on June 1, so what better way to get ready than to look at some of the fabulous fashions?

What do you think?  Love or hate the style?

I was never the biggest fan of the 20s dresses. But the hair and makeup, along with the long strands of pearls are right up my alley! Thanks for this beautiful post!

Love the style, and back in the day when I taught HS, the Gatsby unit was my favorite. That and Night were the two books that I think my students actually read!
