Gatsby Party -- 2012

I've been lounging around all day and am heading out to see Sugarland later tonight, so excited!  Yesterday was such a busy day, I had my annual Gatsby party with my Juniors, then came home and had a Stella and Dot party!  The kids were so excited about their party.  The theme was "Masquerade Ball."  They really went all out, looked sharp, and had a lot of fun.  Here are some of the photos!

The 1920's Have Returned

And just in time for my class reading The Great Gatsby.  The 1920's flapper style has returned.  The days of dropped waist, beaded lovelies are here again and it's no coincidence that Baz Luhrman's version of The Great Gatsby is coming out this summer!

My students are studying Gatsby and we're having a party on June 1, so what better way to get ready than to look at some of the fabulous fashions?
