The Glitz of Gatsby

I've expressed my excitement over the new film version of The Great Gatsby several times.  And I mean several lol.  The novel is my favorite of all time, and with Baz Lurhmann creating the film, I'm sure it will be simply gorgeous.  Architectural Digest features photos of the sets this month.  The sets are so stunning I have no words.  Take a look.  Do they fulfill your idea of what the text looks like?

Pure opulence right? I loved the book but am afraid to watch the movie, because movies are never as good.

I am ashamed to admit I've never read the book... I can't decide whether to read the book before the film or after!

I loved both the book and the first movie so I'm hoping this version doesn't disappoint. I don't know much about 1920's decor, but everything excluding Gatsby's ballroom seems very modern, even for our time!

I can't believe how perfect I think it all looks. I thought I would be much harder on it because it's one of my favorite books too. Can't wait to see it!
