Pastels for Easter

Good Afternoon all.  I hope you're enjoying this Good Friday...today we remember that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, but it is a joyous occasion, since Sunday we can say, "HE IS RISEN!!!"  

I'm dying to know what you're all wearing this weekend.  To me, Easter screams pastels.  Here are a few of my favorite pretty pastel looks.

I just came across a news article about a local girl in Orange County, CA who has contracted some form of meningitis.  Her story is heartbreaking.  She has had to have all four of her limbs removed.  Her name is Kaitlyn.  I am posting the link to donate to her site on my sidebar.  If you can donate, please help her out.  They have almost met their goal, but are still in need.  You can learn all about Kaitlyn on the page.

Sixties Siren

The 60's seem to everywhere lately.  I'm currently obsessing over the new show, "Vegas" on CBS and it's wonderful portrayal of Las Vegas in the 1960's.  The style of the 60's was so much fun, the pastels popped, and the accessories can appear almost campy.  If you're a fan of the show, or love "Mad Men," you might just be in love with these gorgeous photos from Elle Magazine.

Have A Mint

Happy Weekend!  I'm lounging around waiting to celebrate a friend's birthday tonight.  What are you all doing?  

Mint is one of my favorite colors right now.  It's perfect for the upcoming spring season, and looks great with a tan.  Do you own anything the color of mint?

Are Your Pastels Dainty or Daring?

W Magazine says that one of the summer trends is pastel colors.  I have to agree.  Although I'm more a bright-color for summer fan, I'm noticing a lot of what I'm buying are pastels, camels, nudes, etc.  Pastels make me feel a bit more girly, lovely, and all around sweet.  What about you?  What's your favorite pastel color?  Mine is definitely mint.
