Beach Life

It's beach time here in Southern California.  The weather is nice, the waves are crashing, and school's almost out.  Last year I was in Colorado for the summer, so I didn't get a chance to visit the beach.  I plan to change that this year and get back to my roots.  I grew up going to the beach, especially as a teenager.  It was such a blast to head down for the day, set up your towel, put some lotion on and watch the boys.  Sounds like the perfect way to spend the day.  What's your favorite beach?

7 Days of Love--Day 6: Cruisin'

DAY 6

Yay!  It's the weekend, finally.  I hope you're all looking forward to a few days off.  Any big plans?  I'm grading, grading, and grading some more.  Finals were yesterday, so I'm a bit behind, with the sinus infection and all.  

Moving right along, today I'm sharing what I love for my series "7 Days of Love."  We're on day 6, and today I'm loving beach cruisers or bicycles of any kind.  Living in Southern CA, one of my favorite things to do is take my pink beach cruiser out for a ride on the boardwalk.  There's nothing like riding around, stopping for lunch, and getting a tan while the wind's in your hair.  I don't get to go often anymore, but want to make a priority to get there this spring and summer.  We've been having such great weather that I might even get to go next month!  The photo above is me and my dad, out for the day with others on a ride.  Check out my airbrushed t-shirt lol.  Let's just say the photo is from about 10 years ago...enjoy!

Street Heat

Summer is upon us and I can't wait!  I love the warm weather, getting a tan, and of course relaxing at the beach.  The photo shoot from Harper's Bazaar seems to encompass all I love about summer, including the bright colors.  Check out the photos.  Loving that Chanel surfboard!
