Road Trip Part I

Hey all! I've been so busy this week...getting settled and such in Colorado, I haven't had time to blog much. I hope you'll forgive me! I'm having a blast, that's all I will say for now...but here are a few photos of the road trip to get here!

Old Hollywood Meets Young Hollywood

Good morning! I hope you're all having a great week. We're finishing up the household stuff today and then heading out to explore tomorrow so I should have some great photos for you. I've always been fascinated with old Hollywood and the vintage looks of the movie stars from years ago. It's so nice to see some of young Hollywood incorporating these styles into their wardrobes in 2012.

"Savages" with Blake Lively comes out July 6, and the premiere was Monday in West Hollywood. Look how stunning Blake looks. Her dress is absolutely gorgeous and fits right in with the styles of old Hollywood. I love the nude and black, her full red lips, and of course her retro curl. Thoughts?

The Spice Girls...Musical?

Good morning all! I've finally made it to Colorado and we're getting settled in. It's been so hot, (Colorado is having a record heat wave), so it was tough moving yesterday, but the place is adorable and my brother and sister in law will hopefully be very happy here. We have so much fun stuff planned, I can't wait to share it with you. Today, I'm heading out for lunch, then trying to help get everything unpacked and organized. Pics of the space coming soon after it's all unpacked.

Were you a fan of The Spice Girls? I wasn't really, but love me some Posh spice (AKA Victoria Beckham). I've posted on her fashion many times before and I honestly think she has the best style in L.A. The Spice Girls were outrageous, over the top, and to say the least, very colorful. The "Girls" met up today in London to announce the musical called "Viva Forever," based on their hit songs. What do you think? Will you go see it? I'm in Colorado! Boot Barn Giveaway!

So I finally made it to Colorado!!! We've been driving since yesterday morning, and had a little car trouble yesterday, but we're in Breckenridge, and heading out tomorrow to the Denver area! The road trip has been awesome and I can't wait to get settled in my brother and sister-in-law's new place. I'll be there for about a month, so I'll be blogging from there, sharing lots of activities and gorgeous scenery.

Aren't they amazing??? I will share more photos of them later when I wear them to the Toby Keith concert in August.

Cut Them Off!

I'm heading out tomorrow for my road trip to Colorado and I've packed enough for a full family! LOL. I'll be gone a month, so I need a few things, ya know? This year I'm dying to wear my newly made (by my sister in law Taylore) denim cut off shorts. I'm very particular about my cut offs and hate when the pockets come through the bottom because they're too short. They also look great with cowboy boots. I've got my road trip playlist ready and I'll be posting pics along the way via Instagram. I'm looking forward to catching up with you all on Monday! Have a great weekend!

Fashion Friday It's a Flop

I spent some time by the pool today, taking in the sun, a good magazine, and of course the wonderful smell of suntan lotion (my favorite? anything Australian Gold). The older I get the more concerned I am about sun getting anywhere near my face. So of course I wear tons of sunscreen, but the secret is to have a fabulous floppy hat. The bigger, the better. You should look like you walked right out of a movie, or a Palm Desert resort. There are so many chic choices out there, so why not cover up that pretty face?
