Marc Jacobs (Via)
Why does it seem that often the best designers for women are men? Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite designers, so I thought it was time to feature him on my favorite day--Fashion Friday! Lately, I've been finding myself drawn more and more to MJ handbags and cases (laptop, etc.). I even just purchased a new bag in fudge. It's gorgeous!
Marc Jacobs was born in 1963, and is an American fashion designer. He grew up in New Jersey. Jacobs studied at Parsons School of Design and began his career at Perry Ellis. He continued designing, working for several companies, until he formed his own collection in 1994.
In 1997, Marc became the creative director of Louis Vuitton. He continues to hold this position as well as owning his own lines. He has his hand in practically everything--clothing, shoes, bags, perfume, jewelry, and even sunglasses.

Lola is my signature scent!!! I fell in love with the bottle first, and then when I smelled the heavenly scent I was hooked! He gives such a fun modern look to chic classic pieces!!

My grandmother's name was Lola so I just had to buy the sent. I also love his Marc by Marc collection, it is one example of a designers more affordable line almost eclipsing his main line in popularity and influence.

I'm so happy I discovered this "Fashion Friday" link-up. I've been doing a "Friday Favorite" post every week, so I may have to switch so I can join the link-up. As for the talented Marc Jacobs...I have one piece from his Marc by Marc Jacobs that I picked up on sale at Barnyes Co-Op for my high school graduation 4 and a half years ago. To this day it's still one of my favorite pieces in my closet, very well-made garment!
