Pink and Green Thursday Pin Up Girls

As a fun change, I thought we'd check out some vintage pin up girl photos for Pink and Green Thursday.  It's no secret I love pin up girls.  There's just something about their innocent, playful appearances with a hint of subtle sexiness.  I love them so much, that I even have a Pin Up Girls Facebook Page.  I'd love for you to check it out!  Thanks again to Trish over at Pink Preppy Lilly Lover for creating this great link up!

Have a great day and don't forget to vote for Fashion Fridays on the sidebar!

Wordless Wednesday Black and White

Thank you as always to my friend Daphne of Flip Flops and Pearls for coordinating Wordless (semi) Wednesdays!  It's one of my favorite days of the week!  I found some gorgeous images that describe my mood lately.  I'm working on my novel revision, which is set in the 1950's so I'm feeling very film noir.  Can I use that as an adjective?  Well, I'm going to!  I'd love some feedback...link up with us!

Britney Spears Femme Fatale

Brit Brit's new album drops today (yes, I just said drops lol).  I'm curious, will you buy it?  I don't love her music, but find it's great to workout to.  I also hold a special place in my heart for her, because I really want her to succeed.  Why?  I don't know.  I just hate to see what Hollywood and fame does to these poor kids, and hope that eventually she'll be the one to get it together and be a good example for the young girls out there.

Here are some gorgeous photos of her from V Magazine.  I'm loving the color backgrounds.  If you already bought the album, what do you think of it?  Do you think she's back?

Don't forget to vote for Fashion Friday, and check out today's other post on Kat Von D's Wonderland Gallery!  Have a great day!

Kat Von D's Wonderland

I've posted on Kat before.  There's no exciting, big news about her, but I've been wanting to visit her art gallery and thought you might too.  The gallery is next door to High Voltage Tattoo, (better known as L.A. Ink), and is called Wonderland Gallery.

I went to a festival this weekend (The Pink Parlour, which wasn't that great, unfortunately), and Kat's gallery had a booth there.  I got to see a sampling of some of the oddities and beauties she has for sale.  I'm not into anything too dark or depressing, but do like some of the skulls, taxidermy, etc.  (I know, I'm weird).  Anyway, not only is there a fantastic selection of rare and different books, but there are strange apothecary products, jewelry, platform heels, and of course artwork to purchase.

If you're in or around L.A., you should definitely stop by.  The address is: 1257 North La Brea Avenue West Hollywood, CA  90038.  Tell them I sent you!   **Oh, and by the way, the shoes she's wearing on the book cover are sold there too!

Lindsay Is Her Name

Have you heard the news?  Lindsay Lohan plans to change her name to just Lindsay.  Yes, like Prince, Oprah, Cher, etc.  Does her career warrant the name change?  I'm not so sure about that.  What I do know is she is a little nuts, (understandingly with the family she was a part of), but is still beautiful.  I stumbled across these gorgeous photos of her from Vanity Fair in October 2010, and realized I never used them.  They have an old Hollywood look that you know I love.

Rihanna by Annie Liebovitz for Vogue

With so many great photographs out there lately, it's hard to choose which ones to feature.  Look at these stunning shots of Rihanna.  She was photographed by famed artist Annie Liebovitz, for Vogue Magazine.  I love the one with the light in the background.  Which one is your favorite?  Do you still remember her only for what happened with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, or is that just me?

I've been working on revisions of the novel all weekend, and should have some news soon.  In the meantime, did you hear my exciting news last week?  What do you think?

New feature!  I've decided to feature all things fashion for Friday's for a while, so make sure to vote this week on the sidebar.  This week there are 4 designers to choose from!

One Of A Kind

As usual, I'm in love with all the artistic photos that W Magazine produces.  I am constantly amazed with the beauty, originality, and style that comes out of every shoot.  This one is no exception.  This photo shoot is from the March 2011 issue of W Magazine by Craig McDean.

What do you think of the hair and makeup?  Have a great weekend friends!
