Golden Globes Fashion

Hello friends! I have been absent for a few days recuperating after a terrible migraine, but I'm back now, feeling better. I watched a little of The Golden Globes last night, but was only impressed with a few outfits as usual. Why don't these stars get someone to help them look fabulous? I'll never understand it!

Oh well, here are a few of my favorite looks of the evening. What did you think?

Aww! So sorry you didn't feel well! I'm glad you're feeling better.

I actually loved Drew Barrymore's look as well as Emily Blunt's. I thought they were both so girly and glamorous.

Lordy, I am SO out of touch: I don't even know who half these people are!
Sandra Bullock's I don't particularly care for, but the others are great. I really like that sky blue creation and the first black gown, with all the lace. And that tux Taylor Whats-his-name (Jacob) is wearing - is that leather, or just some really shiny fabric?

Glad you're better!

The first dress is fabulous!

I loved Jennifer Aniston's dress...she has the gams to show off and she looked great. Jennifer Gardener looked great, but her hair looked very 8O's. I loved the girl from Up in the Air...Anna...something. I was not sure about the dress at first, but she looked like a gift! Michael C Hall really pulled off not feeling well...I admire him so much and now he is a cancer survivor and I have even more admiration for him! Oh and Clooney needs to SHAVE!

Oh, sweet girl, sorry to hear of the migraine! I hope you are back to your wonderful self :)))

Love the pics! I only saw parts but LOVED all the entrances and the glamour. I'm glad to see Hollywood still retains some of it! LOL. Was VERY happy to see 2 of my faves who won: Meryl Streep and Drew B. Long Live Hollywood...love your blog and have missed you oh so much! xoxo

So glad you are feeling better!!
Any kind of awards seems to bring out the weird in some women. I guess instead of being feminine & beautiful they think their dresses have to be "slutty", which is what they end up being. These you have shown are beautiful!!
Great Post!

I loved Drews dress and Diana Krugers as well and the peachy dream that Christina Hendricks was busting out of;)...
I love ruffles!

Too bad it was raining on everyone, but the true stars didn't let a little moisture dampen their megawatt smiles--don't you just love the photo of the TrueBlood lovers?! My sister gets migraines and they are so devastating. Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Sorry you've been feeling bad! :( I enjoyed the Globes this year. Kate Winslet is almost always my favorite. Go curves! lol

Glad you're feeling better! I think the men always look better than the women at these events. The women tend to try to hard. My favorites were Sandra Bullock and Marion Cotiallard.

I loved the color and most of Drew Barrymore's dress - the shoulder and hip thing could have been more "restrained" or something. I think Fergie's dress looked like a bridesmaid's dress & Taylor??? Who does he think he is Clooney? - but I agree with the rest of your favs!!!

So many beautiful dresses to look at, my favorite part of the awards (actually it is the only reason I watch them)!
So glad you to hear you are feeling better

My favorite was Penelope Cruz. I think she looked fantastic. Must agree, most of the stars didn't really look that great. Happy to hear that you are feeling much better.

Hugs,

I didn't watch, but I've seen the gowns online. I didn't like Anna Paquin's dress at all....I think she could have found a more flattering color. Sandra's was better than most stuff I've seen her wear!

Bonjour Kori,
Looks like you chose the best gowns of the lot. That gold numeber is not normally my style but I like this.
So sorry you were out with a migraine, glad you are feeling better. All the women in my family get them, we call them 'sick headaches', I use a piping hot water bottle on the back of my neck, maybe you could try that.
Take care of yourself my friend!

I was very unimpressed with Julia Roberts dress. It looked like she pulled something from the closet and then threw a big necklace on. She normally looks so good at red carpet events-i.e. her vintage black and white Valentino she wore when she won the Oscar for Erin Brochavich.
I always look forward to Chloe Sevigny. She knows fashion and will take a chance on a piece that would look wrong on someone else.
I thought Tina Fey was as cute always and I loved Sandra Bullock's purple.

I don't watch TV award shows. But everyone has their interests.

The top two were amongst my faves as well as Chloe Sevigny- the best and Nicole Kidman looked pretty good also. Meryl Streep's speech was memorable and so was Monique's. My fave look for the guys was some younger dude in a Bill Blass tux- not sure of his name but, he looked smashing;)

Stylists can run up to $20,000 for one award show. Not many people can afford that and if they can they'd rather spend it on the Oscars.
